Michael O'Connor ClarkeMichael O’Connor Clarke has more than twenty years’ experience in technology marketing and communications in Europe and North America.

Recognized as a pioneer in social media, Michael has been an active blogger since early 2001 and has designed and participated in countless social media initiatives. An active consultant on the integration of social media approaches within mainstream marketing and communications programs, Michael’s role at Thornley Fallis is to blend creativity and hard-earned experience into hybrid campaigns that deliver tangible results.

Michael has worked for big multinationals and tiny struggling startups, both on the agency side and in a number of public and private companies. In his agency work, he has provided marketing and communications counsel to a wide range of clients including Accenture, Amazon.ca, AOL Canada, Borland, Compaq, CNW Group, eBay, H&R Block, Herbal Magic, Hitachi, Intel, itemus, Lotus, MDS, Sharp Electronics, Travelocity.ca, and many others.

In former roles, Michael led worldwide marketing for a one of Canada’s largest publicly-traded software firms, was part of a team that took a software startup from zero to IPO in nine months, and ran product management for the first company to experiment with paid blogging.
