What is meshJobs?

meshJobs is a place to find and post listings of Web-related and other technology jobs in Canada. meshJobs is permanently linked from the mesh conference sites, our blog, and the blogs of the mesh founders. We also feature meshJobs at all mesh events.

Aarrgghh!! I’m looking for someone to fill a temporary gig, not a full-time job!

Great! Even though we call it meshJobs, it’s not just about full-time jobs – please feel free to use meshJobs for full-time, part-time, summer-only, intern or independent contractor gigs – whatever you need. Just make sure you describe the gig in your ad.

Why did you create meshJobs?

Through mesh, we meet a lot of people who are doing interesting things on the Web and elsewhere in technology. They come to us looking for talented people to join their teams, or looking for gigs with exciting and fast-growing Canadian businesses. And so we decided to do something simple and effective to help.

How does meshJobs work?

If you’re looking for a gig, you can browse the listings in a number of ways, including by category, or search by keyword and location. You can also sign up for email alerts or subscribe to the RSS feed of new listings.

For the time being, meshjobs is free – just use discount code “meshjobs” and your 60 day listing is free.

What will you do to give my job visibility?

Your listing will appear on the site for the time you keep it there. We will occasionally mention listings on the mesh blog and on our own blogs, which have wide readerships. We’ll also feature meshJobs at all mesh events, and are looking at creating a widget to allow bloggers and other site operators to show listings on their sites as well. Finally, when you buy a listing on meshJobs, you can syndicate your listing to other job sites: at present, Google / Google Base, Indeed, SimplyHired, Oodle, Vast, OLX, Bixee and HotJobs.

Is this a Canadian site?

Well, the site will accept listings for jobs in other locations – that’s the way the JobThread system works. But we want to keep the site Canadian, so we’ll discourage listings from elsewhere, and if non-Canadian listings are posted we’ll probably cancel them and refund the listing price.

Are there any terms of use I should know about?

Sure. Your content is your own, and you’re responsible for it. If we think it’s inappropriate, we’ll take it down.

I have some suggestions. Whom do I tell?

Email us here – we’d love to know what you think!
