Kim FoxKim Fox is CBC News¹s senior producer of social media. In this role Kim aids in the development and execution of social media, community management and user engagement strategies.

She and her team are helping to refocus the role of social media and UGC within CBC News – with the goal of better collaborating with the audience and integrating social media tools into news reporting. Kim has worked to build in social media into coverage of events such as: The Copenhagen Climate Change Summit; the Vancouver Olympic Games; the
2010 Federal Budget and the Oscars.

Her team’s coverage of the Haiti earthquake garnered both national and international attention for enabling citizens to upload photos and information about their missing loved ones, as well as the on-the-ground coverage from CBC reporters via Twitter.

Before joining CBC News, Kim worked/consulted as a multi-platform producer for many media companies including CBC Radio, CBC Documentary, CBC Television, Maclean¹s, Canadian Business, Second City, Sirius, CTV, Corus, Rogers, AOL, MTV, Fox, Sony, Paramount, Clear Channel, and Corus.
