[...] Earlier this week I was pleased to hear that Mesh (Canada’s Web Conference) has the green light for 2007! We’re doing it at the MaRS Discovery Centre again, on University Ave near Queen’s Park, and the dates are Tuesday, May 30 and Wednesday, May 31 (we’ll let you know as soon as the ticket window is open so you can book your tickets). We’re hoping to pull together just as fantastic a group of speakers for keynote conversations and panel discussions, as well as blogging, podcasting and other workshops, and we’ll also be having the same kind of social in the atrium and after-party bash that were so well received last time.
[...] Once again, good times. No, wait. Scratch that - great times. I’ve been really busy the past couple of days, from meeting Shel Holtz (who has obviously been so busy he hasn’t blogged since yesterday, although he’s having issues with one thing about a certain Toronto hotel…) at Toronto’s Third Tuesday event to running into some cool people I’ve met from previous events at the mesh:reloaded or “mesh returns” as it’s been lablelled gathering. Great, great gathering of people at both events, and thanks to all those who I spoke to, it was such a fantastic time. I enjoy the casual, grab-a-drink-and-chat-with-whoever sort of thing more now than, say six months ago when I didn’t know or recognize a soul. Different story now, folks. And Sulemaan, I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the Yahoo! thing, but it’s been one long day of events, one after another. I’ve had my fill! I’m pressed for time, but my friend Darren wrote his very first blog post just today. I think everyone should take a look on the CCPR class blog (not to be confused with this year’s CCPR class blog). [...]

[...] Mesh is a Canadian web conference that will be held from May 30th to 31st 2007 in Toronto. I missed the first Mesh conference but have heard nothing but good things about if from a few friends that attended. So, as you can guess I’m planning to attend this one and looking forward to learning, connecting and sharing ideas with other attendees. I only wish I lived in Toronto so I could start at the MeetUp on November 15th. [...]

Hey guys,

November 15 is the same day as the Yahoo Client Appreciation party/event. I'm guessing it might be too late to reschedule, but perhaps you could set up a Google list or message board so people who can't be there can easily join the conversation.

Thanks, George. At this point, that's not something we're considering, but we're still in the planning process and all suggestions are welcomed.

Glad to see the wheels are in motion for Mesh 07. I had suggested at the end of this years' Mesh that all attendees be given an "early-bird" opportunity to purchase tickets for the next event (i.e. 72-hour window to purchase tickets prior to going on sale to the general public). A nice gesture for those who supported the event the first time around. Any chance this will happen?

Best,
George

[...] That’s not to say nothing interesting went on. There’s the mesh announcement, which comes complete with podcasts from May (finally!), there’s the crayon announcement (did Jaffe not know there’s already a crayon out there…in advertising no less?) and there’s a whole bunch of other stuff going on that is really interesting…a week away gives me a lot to think about. Kudos! The PR Class is blogging up a storm. They still have a long way to go technically, but the content is very good. [...]
